Known from a legal record
The published trial materials link Gasparutto to the vicinity of Iassico and to reports of nocturnal activity and counter-witchcraft. His words survive through administrative recording and later editorial publication. A clean modern biography cannot be written from these fragments without inventing a life outside the evidence.
Reported practices
Accounts attributed to him connect nocturnal gatherings and a protective role against harmful witches. The details were communicated through a priest and others, and the precise boundary between direct statement, paraphrase and third-party recollection requires close reading.
Evidentiary limits
There is no basis here to assign Gasparutto a modern profession, personality or ideology. Dates in the court documents establish procedural chronology, not the independent occurrence of supernatural events. Profile pages record documentary visibility, not a fictional life story.
